Willow Murphy, a contemporary artist based in the Canary Islands, is a colourist, painter, and printmaker who looks to emphasise happiness in her vibrant and diverse body of work.
Inspired by her experiences in San Francisco, London, and nomadic travels, Willow captures evocative cityscapes, landscapes, and reimagines the ordinary moments of everyday life. Her art is a celebration of colour, expressing the inherent beauty of the world, Willow's work resonates with the universal human desire for happiness and fulfilment.
Having graduated from Bristol University with an Art History degree, Willow spent close to a decade working in the tech industry, splitting her time between London and San Francisco. During her time in San Francisco, she collaborated on giant street murals with a local art collective. Her artwork has been exhibited at the Affordable Art Fair in 2021, and independently showcased her work in two solo exhibitions in London. Currently, she is preparing for her upcoming third exhibition scheduled for June 2023 in San Francisco.
