Do I need to know exactly what I want before getting in touch?

Not at all. Most couples come to me with a general vibe rather than a brief: a venue they love, a colour that keeps appearing on their mood board, and wanting to create something unique and genuinely theirs. We work out the rest together on our first call.

Question 2

How will I receive my original artwork?

Accepted Answer

Wherever you are in the world, I can arrange for your original artwork to be delivered directly to you. Everything will be packaged securely and insured in case something happens along the way (but so far, I've never had an issue!). Any P&P fees will be added to your final invoice.

Question 3

What's the difference between the painting commission and the illustration work?

Accepted Answer

The painting commission is a bespoke original artwork, painted by hand, built around your wedding, and yours to keep for life. It becomes the foundation for your invitation, but it can also inspire the full stationery suite: menus, place cards, so it all feels connected.

The illustration works well for on-the-day stationery - food menus, bar menus, table numbers, signage, seating plans, place cards etc. Special enough that many couples have framed the originals and hung them at home long after the day.

Some couples come to me for both. Some come for one and discover the other. Either is a good place to start.

Who handles the printing?

For printing I work with trusted partners and will guide you through the options, paper stock, quantities, so you know exactly what you're getting. Payment is arranged separately  between you and the printer and all deliveries will be sent directly to you.

How much does it cost?

Bespoke wedding artwork and stationery design projects typically range between $3,500 and $7,000 depending on the scope. Every project is priced individually based on what works for you and your wedding. If you'd like to talk through what's possible for your wedding specifically, the best place to start is a short call.

Question 6

What happens between saying yes and seeing the first draft?

I put together references and ideas based on everything we've discussed on our call. You'll see artwork as it develops from drafts to final designs and have a say at every stage. Nothing is finalized without your approval.

How many commissions do you take on?

Accepted Answer

A small number each year. I work with a limited number of couples at any one time so that every commission gets the attention it deserves. If you're interested, the best thing to do is get in touch early.

Question 8

Do you work with couples based outside the UK?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Most of my couples are based in the US and I work remotely with people all over the world. Distance isn’t a problem. We meet on video call, I share references and ideas on screen, and you see the artwork develop in real time via all the footage I send your way. All files are shared digitally and I’ll help you with the printing side of things so everything feels straightforward wherever you are.

How does payment work from the US?

I accept payment by card through Stripe, which handles USD directly. No complicated bank transfers or unfamiliar platforms. I'll send you a payment link and it takes a couple of minutes.

How far in advance do I need to book?

For a full painting commission, I'd recommend getting in touch as soon as you've booked your venue, ideally eight to twelve months before the wedding. For illustration work, three to six months is usually fine. If your timeline is tighter, get in touch and we'll see what's possible.

What happens on the first call?

It's a short conversation. We talk about your wedding, your venue (if you have decided on it), the feeling you're after. I share some examples relevant to what you've described and we explore what might work for you. By the end you'll have a clear sense of whether this is the right fit.

Can I see examples of previous work before committing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Weddings & Artwork gallery has a full selection of previous commissions. And on our first call I'll share work relevant to your wedding specifically, so you can see what's possible in terms of colours, venue and vibe.

Do you work with non-wedding clients?

Accepted Answer

Occasionally, for the right project. If you have something in mind, get in touch and I'll let you know if it's something I can take on.
